Installation Maintenance Warranty F.A.Q.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

How do I maintain my Hartco floor?
Maintenance is easy and instructions can be found in each carton of flooring or you can have instructions sent to you by calling 1-800-442-7826.

What is the warranty on Hartco floors?
It depends on the flooring you select. For example, finish warranties can be 5, 10, 15 or 25 years. A complete warranty sheet on all Hartco products can be found in each carton of flooring or sent to you by calling 1-800-442-7826.

Is my Armstrong warranty transferable?
For most Armstrong flooring products like laminate, vinyl tile, linoleum and hardwood, the answer is no.  The warranty is good only for the original purchaser.

However for professionally installed vinyl sheet flooring, warranties are transferable. If you purchased a home that has an Armstrong vinyl sheet floor and need to make a claim, you will need proof of purchase or some form of documentation stating when the floor installation took place.  You will also need to be able to identify the name of the said floor.

What are the different wood patterns offered by Hartco?
Hartco has four choices: 1) Strip Flooring ( 2.25" wide x random length ) 2) Plank Flooring ( 3" wide x random length ) 3) Parquet ( 12" x 12" squares ) 4) Custom ( 4.5" wide x 9", 18", 27", 36" or random lengths for unlimited design options )

What does Good, Better, Best mean in Hartco flooring ?
Generally, the longer the wear warranty and the fewer visual wood characteristics( like knots ) the higher the rating.

Can I put wood flooring in my bathroom ?
Hartco is not recommended for high moisture areas such as bathrooms and wet bars.

Where can solid and engineered wood floors be installed?
Solid wood flooring is recommended for on or above ground level installations only. Engineered flooring, due to the multi-ply, cross grain construction has greater dimensional stability and is suitable for below ground level installations, too.
